[re]initializing...
... a hobby! I deal with 3D
printing, programming, microcontrollers, single-board
computers and use this server here to control
and observe my 3D printer and to present some results.
Also a power consumption monitor is running including
automatic shutdown of the printer, a temperature monitor
including fan control for the server and this myself-built
website here, based on a flask-gunicorn framework.
Also installed are sockets, switchable via Wi-Fi,
flashed with Tasmota,
to control power and measure consumption and to power
self-built Esp32 Wi-Fi cameras.
Also I have implemented the usage of the
Telegram
bot API to monitor and control printer and server.
I like Python, taught myself and I'm using Pycharm as IDE
and
GitHub
as code repository.
In the meantime, the system has been expanded to include a
systemd timer that runs an `ensure_running()` routine every
10 minutes, eliminating the need for a Python process to
run continuously and thus ensuring that the necessary
services remain operational. If any issues arise, I am
notified via Telegram.
... access? No way! Since I'm āstuckā behind a CGNAT with my internet provider and don't get a public IP, I decided to rent a virtual private server from IONOS and redirect my NoIP domain to that VPS. I have added all the necessary devices to a virtual private network from ZeroTier. Via that VPN I have worldwide access to my devices.
... I am doing this? Because I can and
I really want to learn more, to expand knowledge and
understanding of various technical fields and areas and
just for fun.
As a little play on words, I named this
server KobraPi. A 'Kobra X' is my third 3D printer,
the 2nd was a 'Kobra 2+' before that it was a
'Mega X' from Anycubic, and the printer server is a
Raspberry Pi.
By the way, my nickname is based on a similar play on words
;-)
... to know more about me?
This is a private project and it's possible to have a look
at the code and hunt for an Easter egg here!
Maybe you find more information about me, it's no secret.
Good luck and have fun!
Yours sincerely, D3adCow1220

Excitement online because the Austrian Cobra needed several attempts to shoot down a cow. Studies have shown that ānormalā police officers have a hit rate of just 20 percent when using their weapon on duty. However, the fact that members of the Cobra special task force do not appear to be much more accurate is new. They are said to have needed seven shots in Matrei am Brenner to incapacitate an escaped cow. This is being hotly debated on social media, and Cobra is being criticized.
